Hello, I am Destinee!

I am a full time girl mom and part time dental hygienist, lover of all things strength training and a wife! I am a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach with a passion for helping you create a lifestyle that works for you and creating the most confident version of yourself. Since becoming a mom my goals have changed and learning how to navigate this next chapter!
Although I moved around a lot during my school age years due to growing up as a military child, the one thing I loved most was being active. I did cheerleading, track, softball, volleyball you name it, I loved participating in it. Cheerleading was my favorite which definitely led me down the path that I had to weigh X amount and compared my body to my friends around me.
I took the leap in 2012 and moved to a brand new city to start my life in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I went to the University of Chattanooga. I went from being active in my school age years to not playing a single sport. This meant you would find me in the gym twice a day following a pinterest workout that was strictly cardio. I had this mindset that lifting heavy weights would cause me to look like a muscular man. I put my body through every fad diet at the time, endless cardio, and eating enough for a toddler. I used to struggle so much when it came to looking at myself in the mirror. I put myself through these struggles for years.
Fast forward to 2016 when I graduated college with my bachelors degree in Biochemistry. I had a passion for teeth and oral hygiene and started dental hygiene school in 2017. It was a 2 year program and the hardest 2 years of my life. This was where I knew I had to find balance in my school and my health. Trust me, it wasn't easy. But these were the two years I learned the most about myself and my body. You might not realize but your oral hygiene affects your entire body... crazy I know.

The health and fitness industry is full of many people who do fitness full time but I am here to show you that you can balance mom life, your job, and create a healthy lifestyle! I used to believe I had to eat chicken and rice and burn as many calories as possible to lose weight. I used to believe I needed to be the skinniest version of myself to be happy. I used to believe lifting more than 10 pounds would make me look like a muscular man. I used to believe I was too busy and couldn't find time in the day to workout. I used to believe so many negative thoughts about my body and that I wasn't as worthy because I had stretch marks and cellulite.
When I first met my husband Ian, he was very active and always lifted weights. You wouldn't dare catch me working out with him when I met him in 2013. One day in 2017 he was the one who flipped that switch in my brain and pulled me into the weight room. This is when I actually fell in love with the confidence I gained from feeling strong not only physically but mentally.
I am still on my own journey just like you. But I am here to help you learn that there is a lifestyle that works for you. A lifestyle where you have a healthy mindset around food without restrictions or feeling guilty for eating. A lifestyle where the scale is just another number and that feeling confident in your body is more important. A lifestyle where you find what movement and what workout style works best for you. A lifestyle where you don’t rely on motivation, where you cut out the excuses and you make time! A lifestyle where you love every inch of your body!
I want to help you finally create that lifestyle and mindset where health and fitness isn’t your life, but a part of your lifestyle. I am teaching you how to create a lifestyle that is YOUR OWN. So that you can show up every single day and not wish that you were someone else.
